2 1/2 going on 16!
So I'm trying to straighten up Rylee's room before bed last night as she is parading around in just her undies and a pair of pink shades. I'm not sure what it is about these sunglasses but it makes her grow up by about 14 years whenever she has them on. Not sure if this is the manufacturers fault or what, but there really should be a warning on these things! So here I am asking her to help pick up some of her toys and she puts her hands on her "hips" (they're actually more up by her boobs, she hasn't quite figured out the whole "hip" region yet) and she leans back on one leg, sticks her belly out, and glares at me from her sunglasses. She then gets up on the bed and starts jumping. By this time I'm not looking for a fight, I just want to get to bed so I ignore it. Suddenly she stops jumping and exclaims, "What is my teddy doing on the fricken floor!" And I make note: Note #1, watch what you say around a 2 1/2 year old...

Update
We're trying to take things day by day here! They seem to be going by so fast, it's hard to get anything done. With every one project started another 3 seem to turn up! Rylee and I are currently working on our "garden". We set up a window planter (with the help of Uncle "Coy") and ATTEMPTED to dig up the area for our new flower bed! The bugs finally drove us in to enjoy our DQ dessert...really had to twist our arms though! Maybe we'll finish today....

Rylee Funny #2
Brad and I were having a conversation about money and finances. Rylee was trying so hard to be part of the conversation and give her "feedback" whenever she could. I made the comment that I didn't have any money and she piped up, "Mommy! It's all in my Piggy (Piggy Bank)!"

So Much to do in So Little Time!
So as you can see it has been FOREVER since I've updated this! I'm just starting to figure out this Blog stuff-little by little!
Things have been busy with work, raising a 2 1/2 year old (going on 16), planning a wedding, helping plan a family reunion among all the other every day duties.
Rylee continues to be the center of our life and no matter what we may be doing in our lives, she always comes first! It has been fun to watch her grow and discover and I wish EVERYONE could experience the every day experiences we get to. So I think I will try to document all my "Rylee Funnies" as I have been trying to do on Facebook. Hope you enjoy!
Rylee Funny #1:
Brad and I were out visiting in the back yard with a friend while Rylee played. She keep going into the front yard where I couldn't see her (not to mention the road was there). I had to constantly remind her to stay where I could see her. Every few minutes I would have to yell "Rylee! Where are you?" At one time she stomped back to me and growled "UGH!" I asked what her problem was and with a wide stance and hand on hips, she leaned forward and scowled "You're driving me nuts!" She then spun around on her heel and stomped back to the front yard leaving us with our jaws dropped!
....I'm sure there will be more to come! :)

P.S.
And I got promoted yesterday! I am now a salaried full time Guest Services Manager! Couldn't have happened at a better time!
We're ENGAGED!
4 years and one kid later, we have finally decided to tie the knot in beautiful Baja, Mexico! We've picked a date of 09*09*09 and will be having a reception on the 12th for those who can not join us for the wedding ceremony!
How it happened:
There was no sunset or white horse like I always imagined it would be. But when you love someone, it doesn't matter where or how it happens! We were coming home down Hwy 1 last week and I told him the reasons I wanted to get married and when I wanted to get married. I pretty much said, "This is the date that I want to get married and it would be REALLY nice if it was to you!" And he accepted!
Sooooo...we'll have to think of a new name for our blog page...!!! Any ideas???

2 Year Old Pictures!
Wed, October 8th was a beautiful fall day so I decided to take Rylee down to Miner's Landing for her 2 year old pictures. The sun was shinning through the yellow and red covered trees just right and bouncing off her hair-perfect for picture taking! She enjoyed every minute of frolicking down the leaf covered trail and climbing up the old railroad tile steps. The air was crisp and full of the smell of fall, which really added to the day! Take a look at our day...ENJOY!
